When moving from a standard PBX phone system to a VOIP service, you can keep your existing phone numbers.

Fastmetrics starts by assigning temporary phone numbers to your new phones or service. We then forward all incoming calls to your old numbers to the temporary numbers. When the number porting is completed, we remove the forwarding and you experience a seamless migration to your new VoIP system.

What is Local Number Portability (LNP)?

The ability to transfer an existing fixed line or cell telephone number assigned by a local exchange carrier (LEC) and reassign it to another carrier. In most cases, there are limitations to transfers with regards to geography, service area coverage and technology.

How long does it take to port my phone number?

It takes approximately 30 days to process your order and transfer your phone numbers over to our VoIP network. During the transition period temporary numbers are set up. The temporary numbers receive all calls from your old numbers, until number porting is completed.
